Dennis Snow To Give Keynote At 2014 Rspa Retailnow

Disney World, D.C.: The Dighton-Rehoboth Marching Band is on the move - News - The Taunton Daily Gazette, Taunton, MA - Taunton, MA

Snow, president of Snow and Associates, consults with organizations around the world about their specific customer service goals. His speech will detail creating a world-class service organization, something he mastered during his 20 years working with the Walt Disney World Company. In an interview with Unitiv, Snow commented on what companies can learn from Disney: While their business is fantasy and the business is magic they have the same challenges and the same issues that most organizations have. What I have found resonates with organizations that I work with, whether its speaking or consulting, is the fact that Disney focuses in on just a handful of principles around service, but those things are non-negotiable. In Snows keynote speech , sponsored by Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, he will address the importance of careful orchestration when delivering the best customer service experience possible, including the key points that retail solutions providers should focus on when dealing with their customers, elevating that experience from ordinary to extraordinary, and ways to make excellent customer service business as usual. The event will also include panel discussions, including The View from the Top leadership panel and the State of the Point of Sale Market. There are also numerous education sessions on topics including the future of payments, business automation, driving mobile commerce with payment solutions, generating revenue with PCI 3.0, loyalty program design, the Internet of Things, transitioning to EMV, and protecting your clients from data breaches. Conference goers can also find a selection of community meetings and luncheons available on Day 1, including invitation-only events, such as the Canadian and W2W Community Meetings, and the Mobile Community Meeting and STS Community Event, both of which are open to all attendees. RetailNOW will also provide ample networking opportunities, including the new member and welcome receptions Sunday evening, and an RSPA Awards cocktail reception on Tuesday. This years exhibit hall has been expanded to include 170 booths and eight hours of exhibit time and includes a networking lunch. He and band representatives met with many local leaders; all were generous. They fell short by about $10,000, but proud parents helped cover their sons and daughters expenses. Our students were excited about going in advance of the trip; I can click only imagine the joy and pride they must have felt on that day, School Committee Chairwoman Eliza Couture said. I spoke with my neighbor, Michael Moitoza, a senior who plays the bass drum in the band, about the experience. He said, It was very organized, lots of fun and a cool experience marching down Constitution Avenue. Kelley said the experience was more than just fun and music. He said his students toured the nations capital and visited many landmarks and historical treasures. He said they even received a special tour of the Capitol, and inside they met a guide who, coincidentally, graduated from Dighton-Rehoboth schools. The kids had a great time.

Disney Billboards: More Than Meets The Eye

BILBOR398777When was the last time you looked at a billboard ? I mean really looked? Ever spot a facet of one that you missed at first glance? Something that made it pop? When it comes to Disney theme park billboards, bet you didn?t realize all that?s entailed into making them so exceptional, filled with sly references and artfully hidden gems. Well, those creative whizzes at Disney?s Yellow Shoes Creative Group know how to ensure they don?t just look amazing and enticing, but also tell a story. But why go the extra mile? ?We hope to remind guests of how much fun they had on the attractions or that they create a sense of anticipation to want to go on them resource if they haven?t,? explains Yellow Shoes Senior Art Director Steve Carsella. ?Having all the details in the billboards is in line with a Disney theme park experience by adding something special wherever you look.? For instance, on one of the latest Expedition Everest billboards, subtle yet oh-so-clever tidbits include the Yeti?s footprints in what looks like random texture in the snow, an authentic Tibetan carving embedded in the ?T? in the word ?EVEREST? and the Yeti?s shadow disguised as a rock cropping. Meanwhile, a new Twilight Zone Tower of Terror board includes a falling brick that is actually an old-timey radio that?s a prop from the attraction?s queue and a Hidden Mickey stamped on another brick. When designing and implementing billboards, there are general creative tenets that are taken into consideration, of course. Does it accurately depict the attraction? Is it readable? Does it feel cinematic? Are there strong details that don?t impede the message? But it takes that Disney magic of adding just enough originality and ingenuity that assures they are always surprising, dynamic and uncommon. ?I think it follows in the steps of Walt himself to pay attention to the details and to offer our guests something out of the ordinary,? Steve says. So now that you know, maybe next time you?ll take the time to appreciate all the thought and effort that go into Disney billboards. Just wait until it?s safe to check them out! Disney To Benefit From Marvel's Expansion Into Tv - Yahoo Finance

( NFLX ) for online streaming of four of Marvels TV series along with a miniseries. Starting with Daredevil, which is scheduled to premiere at least after a year, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage will follow, with an expectation of enhancing Marvels business. While last year Marvel reacquired Daredevil from Twentieth Century Fox, Jessica Jones was earlier scheduled to be an ABC series. Apart from these four series, the deal with Netflix also includes a miniseries TV event, free primarily based on The Defenders to be streamed. Moreover, maintaining its trend in the film business, Marvels TV shows will also work within the same universe. Hence, all the Netflix shows will have interconnections with Agents of SHIELD and The Avengers. Both Disney and Netflix are positive about this partnership, which in turn is dependent upon the audience response to these releases. Though Agents of SHIELD had to struggle its way, as per media reports, Daredevil is likely to be a hit in the world of television as relentless effort is being invested in its making, since it is to set the theme of the Defenders universe. We believe that Disney is likely to gain from this collaboration, given the popularity of both Marvel and Netflixs series. Also, we believe that Marvels entry into the TV world is likely to augment Disneys subscribers, enhance its revenues, introduce new licensing opportunities for the company and drive its success.

Wonderground Gallery Joins Marketplace Co-op At Downtown Disney Marketplace

dissss843723One of my favorite places to shop at Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort in California is the WonderGround Gallery . Opened in June 2012 , the distinctive and eclectic contemporary this site art location showcases unique art collections by some incredibly talented artists. I have great news for fans who love this location like I do. A small assortment of WonderGround Gallery items was recently added to the Marketplace Co-Op in Downtown Disney Marketplace . Located just inside the main entrance of the shop, this new addition contains a handful of prints, mugs, magnets, postcards and more from various artists originally featured in the California location. You may recall that the Marketplace Co-Op was designed to be a testing space for new retail products, store concepts and guest experiences. This small addition is a great example of the flexible space inside the location. During my recent visit, I saw a new ?Welcome? sign inside the shop (just look at those letters!). I love the ?The Village Marketplace Co-Operative? label found on the side of the orange crates. Benches were also added to the center area between the boutiques. If you are unable to visit the Marketplace Co-Op in Florida or the WonderGround Gallery in California, you can find select items from the location on our Disney Parks online store . Catamaran Water Fun In Costa Rica With Adventures By Disney

Another beautiful day out here in Costa Rica as we continue to share our Adventures by Disney journey with you! Over the past few days, our teen photographers have taken some breathtaking images with their Nikon cameras, zip lined through the tropical rainforest and white-water rafted through the raging waters of the Tenorio River. Today we ventured out into the Pacific Ocean for our catamaran excursion. With the secluded beaches surrounding us, we felt like we were on our own private island! The teens looked forward to snorkeling, paddle boating and using their Nikon CoolPix AW cameras to snap some awesome underwater photos. Speaking of photos, I captured this action shot just before they all went overboard! As we headed under the sea, our teen photographers had fun taking photos of each other as they snorkeled around the pristine blue waters of the ocean. Besides all the wonderful activities that we enjoyed in the ocean, the teens became one with nature as they shot some incredible photos of the natural beauty that Costa Rica is known for. Courtney perfectly captured the bright webpage reds and the water droplets on these flowers. Faris put his zooming skills to use with this amazing shot of a dragonfly. Check back for my next post of our teen-focused trip as we continue to explore this incredible region with Adventures by Disney! Disney Monorail Back On Track Literally | Webpronews

The monorails at Disney are used to transport visitors between hotels, parking lots and parks. The monorail that stalled was on its way from Magic Kingdom to Epcot center. It was originally thought that the monorail had been struck by lightning, but an investigation determined that was not true and that it stalled because of a power outage caused by the bad weather. Operators tried to restart the monorail several times but after an hour they decided they needed to evacuate everyone. The riders on the monorail had to be evacuated from the monorail by firefighters using a lift. One of the people onboard the monorail said that although it did get hot and uncomfortable on the monorail, nobody panicked. I just kept saying this is the most exclusive ride, having to evacuate the monorail, said the rider . Nobody was injured during the incident and the monorail was back up and running by Monday. Once the riders were evacuated and safe, Disney employees offered them Fast Passes and gave toys to the children who were riding the monorail.

Eight Delectable Disney Parks Treats For National Ice Cream Day

eddpt123456Why do we love ice cream so much? Sunday, July 20, is National Ice Cream Day, declared by President Ronald Reagan in 1984, and we?re happy for the pure joy of a dripping ice cream cone on a hot summer day. Disney Parks fans know the gooey Kitchen Sink Sundae, the irresistible Dole Whip and ice-cold Mickey Mouse bar. And we?ve all picked a favorite flavor for a double scoop from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor at Disneyland park or Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort . But for National Ice Cream Day, we?re stepping out with some ice cream creations you may not have tried. Here are eight favorites that are a little more creative than a double dip of vanilla or chocolate: If you?re lucky enough to find yourself dining at California Grill at Disney?s Contemporary Resort on National Ice Cream Day, order the Sundae Sampler, a mini-trio with Frangelico toffee mousse, a float with root-beer flavored ice cream and homemade vanilla soda and a ?banana split? (mousse, fresh roasted pineapple, fresh strawberries, whipped cream, candied peanuts, chocolate sauce and a cherry). You won?t want to share. Run, don?t walk, to try the chocolate macaron sandwich at L?Artisan des Glaces at the France pavilion at Epcot . A crunchy chocolate cookie sandwich with dark chocolate ice cream made right there, it?s simply divine. There are 16 flavors, but, seriously, that chocolate-chocolate sensation is a must. Another favorite? The hand-pressed brioche ice cream sandwich. Try something different at the new Morocco Juice Bar at Epcot World Showcase, where the chef is making bold ice cream flavors like chocolate and cinnamon, green tea, pistachio with orange blossom water (our favorite), strawberry and red bean, and toasted almond with rosewater. For a Magic Kingdom pick-me-up, grab the latte iced coffee float at Auntie Gravity?s Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland. (The kids can get a caramel or hot fudge sundae.) At Disneyland Resort , we always make a stop at Clarabelle?s at Disney California Adventure park for the hand-dipped ice-cream bar. Choose vanilla, chocolate or mixed berry sorbet, ask for it dipped in milk or dark chocolate, then add a flourish of toppings like chocolate chips or rainbow sprinkles. Made on the spot while you watch. Get fancy at Napa Rose at Disney?s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa with a single, double or triple scoop of artisanal ice creams: Scharffen Berger chocolate chunk, Tahitian vanilla bean or creamy California strawberry. The Napa Rose pastry chefs churn it out fresh. If you?re strolling Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, stop at Uva Bar for a homemade ice-cream milkshake. We recommend the s?mores flavor. Or if a root beer float is more to your liking, they make theirs with Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream and craft root beer. We?ve got a soft spot for cobbler a la mode, and some of the best is at Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue ? fresh fruit (whatever?s in season) baked in a skillet with a crunchy topping and vanilla ice cream. Grab at least two spoons and share. Eight Delectable Disney Parks Treats for National Ice Cream Day by free Pam Brandon: Originally posted on the Disney Parks Blog

'frozen' Reign: Fontana, Artist Formerly Known As A Prince, To Sing With Tab Choir : The Ticket

The Retreat Full Service Salon Springville resident Katya Wagstaff, an incoming freshman this fall at the University of Utah, is a big Santino fan. "I saw sites him in Cinderella on Broadway last April," Wagstaff said. "I thought he was great as Prince Topher. The clarity of his voice, it was just great. It was about that time I found out he was doing 'Frozen.' I have followed him on Twitter, Instagram, and Broadway.com ever since." Wagstaff said Santino's name was bounced around by some auditioning for U of U's musical theater program. "He is an up-and-coming star," Wagstaff said. Getting Santino here was an interesting and timely process according to Ron Jarrett, president of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Typically a headliner would have been selected as much as a year in advance.
